Our Mission

For over seven decades, the Maricopa Bird Alliance, formerly Maricopa Audubon Society, has been dedicated to conserving and restoring the habitats of the Southwest. We believe that by protecting birds, we protect all wildlife and the ecosystems they depend on.

Habitat Conservation
We work to protect and restore critical habitats for birds and other wildlife across Arizona.
Community Education
Through field trips, workshops, events, and publications, we foster a love for nature in people of all ages.
Advocacy & Action
We serve as a voice for wildlife, advocating for environmentally sound public policies and management. MBA is a member of the Coalition for Sonoran Desert Protection.
