Jewel of the Creek Preserve with Kathe Anderson

Yellow bird perched on leafy tree branch

We’ll start at about 6:15am in Scottsdale, and explore this exquisite migrant trap for about 2+ hours, wrapping up by about 10:30. I’m hoping for common desert species, plus whatever orioles, tanagers, warblers, vireos and flycatchers might be straggling behind that day. Quick stop at a golf course pond on the way out.

Meeting place and carpooling logistics will be determined a few days before the trip. $4 per person gas money recommended for your driver. Donations in Kathe’s car will go to CEDO

Difficulty 2-3 – uneven, unpaved trail, no public restrooms
