29th Annual Herb Fibel Big Sit! Fundraiser

Birdwatchers scanning river at sunset near mountains

MBA friends will gather to count bird species seen from a 17’ diameter circle at Granite Reef Recreation Area. Funds raised this year will go to Youth Scholarships for the 2025 AZFO annual meeting. The main objective of this event is, and always will be, sitting out in nature with friends, and enjoying not only the wildlife, but the camaraderie, while raising funds for a worthy cause.

We are thankful once again for Kathe Anderson and Cindy Marple for leading this effort.

Registration is required. Contact Kathe.coot@cox.net. Officially from 7-9 AM, folks can arrive early and stay late. At 9 AM we will have snacks, compare notes and make a list. Bring your coffee, breakfast and a snack to share. We’ll collect cash or checks onsite ($10-25 suggested). Please make checks payable to “Maricopa Bird Alliance” with “Big Sit!” on the memo line.
